Help Feed The Hungry
Trane Food Drive 2012 - West Michigan

On Friday, December 14th, Trane and West Michigan Trane Dealers will be hosting a food drive to help feed the hungry this Holiday Season. You may bring donations in the form on non-persishable food, or in cash donations. Every dollar donated will equal 1lb of food. In addition...each dealer will provide a drop-off location in the weeks leading up to the event. Each participating Trane Dealer will be donating all food and proceeds to their charity of choice.

Who You'll Be Helping
Each Trane Dealer has chosen an individual charity in which they will give all proceeds and donations from the Food Drive. Those Dealers and Charities are:

The Barnabas Family of Ministries includes a number of ways for youth and parents to become involved in relationships, events, and activities of many kinds. All facets of the Barnabas Family are intended to strengthen individuals and families while developing relationships of significant influence.

Lamphear Service Company - Dégagé Ministries
Since 1967, Dégagé Ministries has served as the primary community center for homeless and low-income individuals in Grand Rapids. Serving 400-500 individuals daily, Dégagé Ministries offers help and hope to homeless and disadvantaged individuals in our community. Often, it is the simplest of gestures that brings the most powerful results.

Love INC, located in Hudsonville, MI, works to support Christians in bringing God's love and care into our communities (Hudsonville, Jenison, and Grandville, MI) by mobilizing churches to meet the unmet needs of individuals and families. In doing this we will seek to know God better, to demonstrate the power of Jesus' love, and to witness to the only source that can make us effective -- the love that God has for all people.

Royal Comfort Mechanical - Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank
Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank exists to ensure good food is available to the hungry in our community. We distribute that reclaimed food to pantries, shelters, and other local anti-hunger organizations in 40 West Michigan counties. About 1,300 local organizations rely on the Food Bank for all, or most, of their food. These organizations provide food to 100,000 struggling West Michigan families. Besides supplying local anti-hunger groups, we also send food directly to people in need through our local Mobile Pantry Program. The Food Bank gets surplus food from more than 100 donors: farmers, manufacturers, distributors, stores and restaurants. Because the food is donated, and because we’re so efficient at distribution, we can provide 4 meals for every donated dollar. A gift of just $21 can feed a family of four for a week.

Santa Claus is coming to the Trane Food Drive

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

During the Food Drive, our good friend and big supporter of the event, Santa Claus himself, will be stopping by to make sure he's checked his list twice. When you stop by to donate, bring your kids to see Santa. Santa will be at the Food Drive from 11:00am to 1:00pm.

Chef Tommy Fitzgerald

During the Food Drive, Grand Rapids own, Chef Tommy Fitzgerald will be serving food on location at the Food Drive. Chef Fitzgerald is the owner and Executive Chef of Café Stella at 678 Front St NW, Suite 115 in Grand Rapids and the Founder of the Juice Ball Initiative, whose mission is to provide a year-round juice box solution for Kids Food Basket. Juice Ball has had a HUGE impact on the community. The Juice Ball Initiative seeks to continue this energy and provide a year-round juice box solution for Kids Food Basket. Connie & Curtis Live Remote

Come out and see 95.7’s Connie & Curtis broadcasting LIVE with live updates from the event from 6am to 10am, and on scene from 10:30 to 1:00 the day of the Food Drive. Connie and Curtis' friendship goes back 12 years. Connie had always told Curtis he was one of the funniest people she'd ever met. Each day while listening to their show, you will LAUGH, you will THINK, you will be MOVED and you will be late going into work so you can hear what they say next.

Connie, originally from Michigan, has been with her boyfriend, Dan, for 8 years and they have a very cute Persian cat named Poof. She’s excited to be back to her home state, saying, “We couldn't be happier or more honored to be joining the team at Channel 95-7 AND to be living in the most beautiful area in The Mitten!”

Curtis, originally from Wisconsin, has been married to his beautiful wife Kate for 12 years and they have 3 beautiful daughters. He says: “I can't wait to point to my hand and tell people I'm from right here!”
